Here at Cox, we
advertise in various print media, on line, on radio,
TV, etc. We have already have a tracking system that
uses unique URL's and phone aliases in each of these
ads. We're tired of managing all this by humans. We
want to automate the process as much as we can.
Using our web-based application and our techniques,
you will be able to create an "ad definition" which
includes a start date, an end date, the URL and phone
number for the ad. Given that information, the ad
definition is then joined to the department(s) and
program(s) which are featured in the ad. The ad
defitnion is also joined to a venue (a specific news
paper, radio station, magazine) and an edition (Sunday
edition, regional edition, etc) where the ad will be
displayed.
This application will also automatically harvest the web
server logs and phone tracking logs, parse them, put
them in a database and use all this information to create
reports. We also have a user interface for entering
direct mail response data and tying that to an overall ad
defintion.
